this internet file sharing crackdown shit is fascist, and in the end is destined to failure. sad that i won't get to hear the mutantes albums that I am unfamiliar with, A Divina Comedia Ou Ando Meio Desligado, Jardim Electro, and Mutantes E Seus Cometas No Pais Do Baurets. i have so much music to listen to that it is unlikely that i would listen to these albums more than a few times, and i refuse to pay the extortionist prices that record companies charge for the ability to simply listen to a few songs a few times. I personally don't think caetano veloso as the minister of culture in brazil and his crew would rather that people not hear his music because they simply can't afford to cough up the absurdly out of range prices to buy a physical copy. regardless of my rant, thank you "yo dionysus" for continuing to post in the face of cultural corporate fascism. they try to paint file sharers as thieves and criminals, but i see them as people sharing their love of music.
ReplyDeleteYou are aware that producing music costs money, right? Musical equipment, studio time, aren't free? Oh, wait, is this the "Music is free" crowd again? Welcome to 1969.
ReplyDeleteShell out, cheapskate, and maybe the folks who produce this wonderful stuff will do so again...
The problem with shelling out is that most of your money goes to people other than the artists. The 'everything is free' model isn't sustainable, but either was the one that came before it, and reverting back to that makes no sense.

ReplyDeleteI individually don't think caetano veloso as the reverend of lifestyle in south america and his team would rather that individuals not listen to his songs because they basically can't manage to coughing up the extremely out of variety costs to buy a actual duplicate. regardless of my observation, thank you "yo dionysus" for ongoing to publish in the experience of social business fascism. The opinions are so awesome, I really like viewing all over the earth so much that is why I find travel agents that was having a awesome encounter in way of life that will not spend some time.
